Guitar Lesson Overview

Here is a handy guitar lesson about playing a cool lick to a Hendrix style rhythm. You simply play some nice and fat rhythm guitar, and then throw in a classy lick when you feel like it. Cool huh?

Listen to the album Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix. The song Voodoo Chile has a rhythm similar to what I do in this video.

The tab, notation and pdf files are my own work and represent my interpretation of the songs. These files are put together and formatted in Notepad, transformed to MS Word and converted to pdf format to save or print the composition. And, if available, a link back to the Tutorial. Tab files with references to any artist are not meant to be actual transcriptions of copyrighted material.

The lick samples are gathered from talented online teachers; and the related audio clips are extracted from their tutorial pages. Many tabs have been transposed in the Key of Am - at the 5th fret (a popular key when playing the Blues) or the Key of Em - the "guitar key" (all open strings belong to this scale and the most common key for Delta Blues).
